Lots of places are clearing out last year’s inventory (us included). How do you know if it’s a good deal or if it’s too good to be true?
You know the old saying – if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. And that applies to hot tubs, too. Especially when they’re on sale … and there are a lot of deals to be found. But how can you know if it’s a deal that’s worth your while?

Shop Local

Buy your hot tub from a local company with a proven track record. One that will be around after the sale, too, so if you need service, supplies, or just have questions – you’ll know who to call. Prices at travelling spa shows may be tempting but the grass isn’t always greener. While you might get a good price, it’s also possible you’ll be stuck with a spa that’s been carted from town to town and possibly damaged, with no one to call once issues arise.

Compare Prices

Better safe than sorry – shop around and compare prices. Don’t just compare sale prices between competitors, but compare sales prices to regular prices. Is the discount really as much as the dealer is advertising?

Consider the Size

If a hot tub is a great price, but it’s too big or too small for your needs, then it’s not a great deal for you. Don’t end up in hot water by buying more or less spa than you need. Carefully consider how big your family is, how many friends you’re likely to have over, and the measurements of the location where your hot tub will be installed.
When it comes to hot tub shopping, ignorance is NOT bliss. Great deals can be found – especially during clearance season – but it does take some thoughtful planning and research on your part to make sure you’re getting the best deal possible on the spa that’s right for you.
