Each year our furniture buyers travel to the big industry shows, looking for pieces that work well with the lifestyle in our area. This post covers some of the top trends they saw at the shows-read on for inspiration!

Colors

Neutrals such as sand, tan and light beige are still tops—they provide a great backdrop for colorful pillows and accessories!

For those of you seeking more than a splash of color, you can make a bold statement with earthy greens (think nature), tangerine (looks refreshing), and the calming blues of both sky and sea. In fact, blue is a favorite that works in both traditional and modern environments. Blue is even working its way into fabrics—the use of denim is on the rise!

Reclaim, reuse, recycle

From FSC-Certified and reclaimed wood to furniture created out of used soda bottles, more and more consumers are seeking environmentally-conscious choices. Also, consumers are looking for pieces made in the USA that don’t rely on cargo ships from the Orient; the lower the Carbon Footprint, the better. All of our environmentally-conscious furniture lines are made in the USA.

A Little Bit Vintage

From the lattice designs behind a chair cushion to fabrics in herringbone designs, it is possible to have the feel of vintage garden furniture—without the rust!

Chunky

Wicker furniture looks are beginning to migrate from the small, tightly woven look into a “chunky weave.” By using thicker strands the furniture’s look becomes even more inviting. The larger pieces of recent years suit this look well.
