Measuring Guide

Use this guide as an easy reference to help measure your spa. All measurements are the responsibility of the spa owner.

I.What You Will Need:

• Pen or Pencil
• Tape measure
• Straight edge or framing square

II. How to Measure:

Round up measurements to the nearest half inch or inch. A cover that is 1-2
inches larger will fit your spa fine, but a cover that is too small will decrease
the efficiency of the insulation.

III. Choose the Shape that Best Resembles Your Spa

    Spa Shape

    IV. Choose a Fold/Hinge:

The “A Fold” cuts the A dimension in half, the “B Fold” cuts the B dimension in half.
**If you have a spa that is perfectly square, the fold/hinge does not need specification.

    Considerations:

    • Where is the control panel located? It is most common for covers to fold away from the control panel.
    • The longer dimension is typically the one that gets folded in half, but that is not always the case.
    • Ask yourself: Is there anything obstructing the path of the cover opening and closing that may change the fold? (ie: fence)

VI. Measure the Skirt and Safety Strap Length:

    Safety Length A

The cover skirt is the flap that hangs around the edge from the bottom of your cover. Measure the skirt of your spa form the bottom of the cover down. If your cover does not have a skirt, enter zero; the minimum length for a skirt is 1.5”.

    Safety Length B

To get an accurate measurement of the safety strap, you need to measure the skirt plus the strap. DO NOT include the clip in your measurement. The strap needs to hang at least 1.5” below the skirt.

**Straps are required on all covers.

    VII. Strap Position

** Strap location measurements are not guaranteed.
