There’s no doubt about it – a swimming pool is an investment. Not just of your hard-earned money, but of your time and convenience during construction, too. So when you choose to have a vinyl pool installed you want to know how long it’s going to last.
We’re proud to carry Fox pools, the best engineered pools in the industry. In fact, we’ve been installing Fox pools in the area for more than 50 years. Not only are they available in more than 65 shapes and sizes so that you can choose the pool that’s perfect for you – they’re perfectly suited to our climate. (And if you’ve lived here very long at all – you know that’s saying something!)
When it comes down to determining how long a pool is going to last, there are really three general factors to consider:

  1. How the pool is designed
  2. How the pool is installed
  3. How the pool is maintained

How the pool is designed

Fox is a leader at innovating pool design techniques that not only bring beauty to your backyard, but lead the industry in safety and technology. For a vinyl pool to last it’s maximum lifespan, it needs to be strong. Fox employs many of the same building techniques used in bridges and tall buildings to hold back the earth while holding in those thousands of gallons of water.

How the pool is installed

No matter the quality of the pool design, if it’s not installed correctly it will not last. At Pettis, we’ve been installing Fox pools for more than 50 years. In fact, we’re the oldest Fox dealer in the country, and proud of it. You can trust us and our team to properly install your pool so you can enjoy years of trouble-free fun.

How the pool is maintained

Some pools that are a few decades old look nearly new, because they’ve been meticulously maintained. While others that are only a few years old look much worse because their owners haven’t taken proper care. As a pool owner, if you want to get the absolute most out of your vinyl-lined pool, following the proper maintenance program is essential. But don’t worry – we can help! We have extensive knowledge of water care and can discuss your options for maintaining crystal clear, safe water and taking care of your liner. Many of our customers choose to use chlorine-free Baquacil® in their pools which is gentle on your liner, your skin, your swimsuits and ultra-easy to use!
