Hobbies: Mentored for many years by Larry & Erma Pettis, John cares very deeply about carrying on the values that built Pettis Pools into what it is today. He enjoys greeting our longtime customers year after year and is always looking for ways to make the business better. In his limited free time, he enjoys golfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and travel.

Years with the company: Since birth!, Full-time since 1987

Hobbies: Proud daughter of founders Larry & Erma Pettis, Julie grew up in the business and spent many years learning from her mom and working in the retail stores. In 2002 she founded Softub Express, a division of Pettis Pools, which has since grown to the 2nd largest Softub distributor in the country.

When Julie is not working, you can find her working out, spending time on a boat, hanging out with her hubby, and watching the Buffalo Bills!

Hobbies: Kathy is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! Kathy enjoys educating people about the quality products that Pettis Pools carries and the joy they bring to people’s backyards. When not at work, Kathy spends time with her grandchildren which is her top priority.

Hobbies: In his spare time, James enjoys playing golf, fishing, and of course, spending time with his family!

Hobbies: Through the years, Jim has worked in nearly every department and has direct experience in maintaining multiple pools. Pool and spa water chemistry is one of the areas that he excels in. He is considered one of the Pettis Pools chemistry “experts”. He has gone through advanced training in water chemistry, sales, and business operations through the pool industry’s continuing education programs. Store merchandising is one of his favorite store responsibilities as it is a fun challenge that uses design sense, product knowledge, and spatial awareness. Outside of the industry, he has 25 years of bartending experience. He also has work experience in corporate security, project management, banking, and real estate.

In his spare time, Jim enjoys biking and spending time outdoors. He also loves to cook and entertain. He values spending time with my family more than anything.

Hobbies: Jeannie enjoys spending her spare time golfing, cooking, and spending time with her husband, 3 daughters, and their hubbies. Along with her 4, soon to be 5, awesome grandkids!

Expertise in the industry: Bookkeeping and Human Resources

Hobbies: Abbey enjoys spending time with her dogs, boating, updating their new house with her fiancé, and being outdoors.

Hobbies: Golf, golf, and golf! Zach loves to socially distance himself from others in the woods of local golf courses.

Years with the company: 9 Years

Hobbies: Karen loves anything creative including art, crafts, and gardening.

I am very excited to be a part of the Pettis team! I love working at Pettis because we are a close-knit family environment. I believe the close relationships we have together help build the positive relationships we have with our customers. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my dogs, fixing up my new house with my fiance and gardening.

Hobbies: I play hockey and enjoy camping as well as pretty much any sport you can think of.

Expertise in the industry: Mentored by retired owner Stephen Pettis for years, Jeff now capably leads his own crew and will build your dream pool flawlessly.

Expertise in the industry: Mentored by retired owner Stephen Pettis for years, Steve now capably leads his own crew and loves transforming people’s backyards. One of our hardest workers, Steve will always go the extra mile for you.

Expertise in the industry: Kevin has 40+ years of experience in the swimming pool industry. His breadth of knowledge is incredible and we’re fortunate to have him.

Years with the company: Spent 7 seasons with Pettis previously and has returned full-time in 2021.

Expertise in the industry: Mike spent 7 seasons in our field service department previously and learned most aspects of field service.

Hobbies: Cooking, hiking and spending time with his family.

Expertise in the industry: Al installed above ground swimming pools for many years before joining our service department. Incredibly experienced, Al mainly installs our vinyl liner replacements and LoopLoc safety covers and does a tremendous job. You can feel very confident with Al on the job.

Expertise in the industry: Dale specializes in taking care of any problems you may have so you can get back to relaxing as fast as possible. He can solve most problems by troubleshooting over the phone but is an experienced field technician as well.

Hobbies: When not working, Dale enjoys spending time with his family and dogs.

Years with the company: 6 Years

Hobbies: When not working, Dianna loves spending time with her husband, 3 children, and dog. Dianna also enjoys home improvement projects, spending time in the outdoors, and reading.

I recently started with Pettis in November 2020 and I am excited to be part of this amazing family run company that has such a positive reputation in our community. I am looking forward to contributing to the ongoing success of Pettis.

Hobbies:When I’m not working, my wife and I enjoy watching our kids play soccer, basketball, baseball and of course, lounging in the pool. I am also a lifelong karate student with a second degree black belt.

Hobbies: Outside of Pettis, Mike enjoys blowing off steam at the gym and likes to use his creativity to build things – arcades, household items, or his wife’s latest project.

Hobbies: John likes muscle cars and loves going to car shows and cruise nights. He also enjoys spending time and home with his family and friends.

Expertise in the industry: Kyle is one of the main delivery crew members on our hot tub and sauna deliveries. He has learned a lot in his time with Pettis, and we look forward to his continued growth and success. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys artistic activities, painting, drawing, SFX makeup, and costume design.
